*Every day on Nova Scotia's Gorgeous South Shore is a beautiful one!...

Please note: If you drive impaired, you will be arrested, and you will go to jail. Driving impaired is not only wrong, it's completely illegal. Don't expect the Mounties to 'understand' if they stop you. Don't change your life or someone elses, by driving irresponsibly. Remember, they have 20 ways to ascertain if you're under the influence. How will you feel if you kill someone? Think before you get behind the wheel. It's the sane thing to do.

So soft, so smooth, so easy, so beautiful - always. Artist of the Month: Eliane Elias....

If you're a religious person pray for this brave Georgia girl. She's being attacked by a flesh-eating bacteria, and shortly will lose her two hands and her remaining foot to amputation. This is a sad, sad story, but one that shows what bravery this young lady has achieved. Aimee, you've been dealt a terrible blow, and we wish you only the best....

Where is the rudest country to visit? According to a recent poll, France. Canada is in the bottom eight - we've always thought that our South Shore residents treat those from away with the greatest of courtesy.

Congratulations!!! Stacey Cowell of Lighthouse Publishing won the prestigious Atlantic Journalism Award in Halifax on May 5. This is the second year in a row that this local paper has won this award. Last year, Lisa Brown took it home for her coverage of the Karissa Boudreau murder. We are lucky to have a local paper of this class. Again, Stacey, congratulations.

New!!! - For you 'thrill-seekers,' here's a video sent to us by our good friend David Beck. It shows what we humans can do if we're crazy enough to try!  Beautifully produced piece of film....We will, from time to time, insert videos in here that we feel might be of interest to you. We found this on YouTube - a glimpse into Mahone Bay from 1952-1960. It is a wonderful piece, and if you look closely, you will see one of the original boat houses in front of one of the churches. Also, where the Save-Easy is now, there was a wood-working plant that made large oars for export - Hirtle Woodworkers, we think. Look at the old cars going through town. Thanks to whoever posted this - Enjoy! And here's an updated tour...This video was produced by a local real estate firm to show-case a cottage on Mason's Island - it is well produced, and has a really good over-view of just how beautiful and special this area is. We like the background music - it's Coast-FM style!

News Briefs
: #1: On April 18, 2012, Dick Clark passed away at 82. No one in broadcasting history had a bigger impact on 'rock and roll' than Dick, unless you factor Elvis into the mix. Dick's 'American Bandstand' used to air every afternoon out of Philadelphia, and it was a hugely watched show. Because of the show's tremendous success, there were several imitations, but none came close. Dick was smooth, polished, and appealed to teenagers and their parents alike. This writer - who grew up outside New York - remembers watching the show with friends after school, on WABD Channel 5.  Dick Clark was a kind, soft spoken man who garnered a lot of respect and gave a lot back. Dick we miss you, and thank you for your tremendous contribution to the American - and world - music scene. The world becomes a lesser place without men like him in it.

#2: Mike Wallace left us over the Easter weekend. It's hard to imagine a more professional, fair or balanced newsman anywhere. Since the inception of 60 Minutes, Mike was a fixture on the program, interviewing almost anyone you could imagine - from Yasser Arafat to racist so-called 'Minister' Louis Farrakhan.  Mr. Wallace worked well into his 80s, and journalists and viewers alike will sorely miss this very gifted man. His son, Chris, is an anchor at the Fox News Channel, and carries with him the integrity of his father. In Canada, we would vote for Graham Hart, an anchor at CHEX-TV in Peterborough, Ont., as a man with the calibre, honesty and reporting skills of Mr. Wallace. Graham is not just a friend, but one whose broadcasting skills reek with integrity, research and competence.  Graham could have worked in larger markets like Toronto, but has chosen to remain at CHEX which has provided him with a simpler life. As you can see from his bio, Peterborough has been the better for that decision. P. S. And one more note on 60 Minutes - Easter weekend they carried a piece on a symphony orchestra in the Congo, reputed to be the poorest country on earth. This piece - as with many on the program - is sensitively reported, and touching to the heart.

#3: Let's put a trillion in perspective. If we could travel a trillion miles, we would go about 11,000 times farther out than the sun is from earth. If we went back in time a trillion seconds, we would be close to 30,000 years prior to the birth of Christ. Regardless of how you figure it, the sum is a staggering one. So how long does it take to spend a trillion dollars? About six months if you're Barack Obama who's blown through roughly a trillion dollars for every six months he's been in office - six trillion in all, and more than all other presidents have combined. Yet, this did not stop him from regaling George Bush about Mr. Bush's spending - Obama called it 'unpatriotic' a few years back. There is simply no way that spending of this magnitude will not affect us here in Canada. Should Obama be re-elected and continue on this reckless spending spree, we will feel it. Under Jimmy Carter - who also was a big spender, as long as it wasn't his money - interest rates and inflation hit 18%. Barack Obama has never run anything even approaching a lemonade stand - yet, now he's in charge of the largest economy on earth. If that doesn't scare you, nothing will.  The heigth of irony, is that the largest communist country on earth - China - has rescued the biggest capitalistic country on earth, the USA. How long it will continue buying U.S. T-bills is anyone's guess, but they hold a ton of them.

#4: Should we bring back the death penalty? If you think 'No' after you read the story of 8 year old Tori Stafford,  nothing will ever persuade you. If you have a young child, NEVER, ever allow him or her to go 'down the street,' or  'out to get the mail' alone. America's Most Wanted Host John Walsh's young son was snatched, raped and murdered when he was twenty feet apart from his mother in a Miami Sear's store - it can happen that fast. In fact, the adduction of little Tori was featured on this program. In this case, the police have been strongly criticized - as they should have been - for not issuing an Amber Alert

Just under half - 44% - of all Canadians support a return to capital punishment. Certainly, unless there is incontrovertible evidence, it should never be considered.  In the aforementioned story, a young child has absolutely no opportunity to fight a much stronger adult - none. Tori Stafford's gone in a most horrific way -lliterally hammered to death - and her family and friends are torn apart and will be lost forever. This goes way beyond sad, and the people who did this should never, ever be free again to society's running the risk of experiencing another such terrible crime. These people give new meaning to the word 'monsters.'

Speaking of 'monsters,' in Texas, back in the late 60s, a monster by the name of Kenneth Allen McDuff murdered three teenagers by kidnapping them and then shooting them. He was caught, and sentenced to three death sentences. His death penalty conviction was eventually over-turned, and in 1989, owing to over-crowding in the Texas prisons, he was paroled. It is not known exactly how many he killed once he got out, but the figure is substantial. His most famous victim was Coleen Reed who was grabbed while washing her car one warm night in Austin. She was raped and tortured before being killed and thrown into a shallow grave. McDuff was finally executed in 1999, but had it been done in the first place, he never would have gotten out to wreak his path of destruction once more.  The moral, of course of this story, is that there are some really bad people out there, who have no regard for human life. Society has an obligation to protect us from these people, and it needs to be done in such a way that [a] they can never get out, or [b] they are executed. McDuff and the killers of little Tori fit into the latter category. They - and those like them - are simply reprehensible, and beyond salvation. By the way, it was America's Most Wanted that captured McDuff. P.S.: Here's the RCMP's most wanted list, as well as the FBI's 'Top Ten.'  Many U.S. criminals have fled to Canada because they can 'blend in,' with culture, language and work skills. However, when America's Most Wanted profiles a U.S. felon felt to be in Canada, John Walsh usually gets his man - or woman.  The show has been very efficient at taking down the bad guys. Update, Apr. 6: The only Canadian on death row in the U.S. is a Ronald Smith, who, with an accomlice, shot two men in the head in Montana in the early 80s. A leaked document, accidentally send to Smith's lawyer, states that clemency will probably not be granted. It is no secret that if you commit murder in certain states, you run the risk of receiving the death penalty. This is a risk Mr. Smith chose to take, and it is a supreme waste of everyone's time to try to save someone with this view of his fellow human beings.

#5:  "Sarah Palin is now doing commentary for Fox News. That's very similar to her day job of  talking to her baby with Down Syndrome." That is the amazingly insensitive remark recently made by 'comedian' Bill Maher. Michelle Bachman on March 9 called Mr. Maher a 'pig.' Sorry, with all due respect to Ms. Bachman, we have to believe she did not mean to insult pigs, and she surely did. She's a stand-up gal, tho, and we can expect an apology from her soon. The additional problem we have with 'Mr.' Maher, is that he just gave one million dollars to get Barack Obama re-elected. Why is this an issue? Well, as we both know, Mr. Obama has been very vocal about not slurring the families of candidates or public political figures - and he means it, as long as it does not apply to conservative families. And because of the inflamatory things 'Mr.' Maher has said, did Mr. Obama do the right thing and give back the million? Of course not. This video of what was said is very explicit, and very, very offensive. While 'Mr.' Maher may be financially successful, this video shows the sub-human side of a failed person - 'Mr.' Maher - and the hypocricy of a man who should know better - Barack Obama. There is no question that Ms. Palin is loved by many and despised by others, but regardless, this is absolutely no reason to run one's mouth with the kind of garbage Bill Maher and his ilk have been doing. We know we have freedom of speech in America and Canada, but attacking one's innocent family members - or public figures like Ms. Palin  in such a wretched fashion - is simply inexcusable.  And it says far more about the lack of character of Bill Maher than it ever could about that of Sarah Palin. 'Mr. ' Maher - in another time - would have been perfect at running one of the death camps - he could have effectively eliminated anyone he did not like. Little Trig Palin would not have stood a chance.

Update, March 11: "Your piece is right on the mark. I just canceled my subscription to HBO"  [The network that hosts Maher's 'show']. Tony Lewis, Winnipeg. Us: Networks that feel they can do anything are going to start to feel the economic pinch as people just refuse to watch them. A prime example of this is the 'heat' that was threatened if any network were to have paid Casey Anthony for an interview after she was freed from jail.  We hope that any network will eventually see Maher for what he is - a low-life who preys on helpless victims.  To attack a two year old with Down Syndrome as Maher did, simply doesn't get any lower than this.

#6: No one ever thought this would ever happen - that the main link between New England and Nova Scotia - the Bar Harbor-Yarmouth International Ferry - would ever not exist. Yet, in Dec. of 2009, that is precisely what took place, when the NDP government announced it would no longer subsidize this operation. We wrote extensively about it, and those stories are featured on the 'News' page, and in the 'Archives' section. But here's what no one - and we mean no one we spoke with - ever thought that a solution would not be found for 2011. Well, one was not. And now, it appears that there will be no service for 2012. We've pretty much said it all in the articles on the aforementioned pages, but we will start to bring you updates on what will happen this year, if anything. We think the only solution at this point, is for businesses and individuals in the Yarmouth area to get together and launch a class-action lawsuit against the government for a breach of promise in their last election campaign. Quite frankly, Mr. Dexter and his entougrage were not honest in their promise to make life better for all families - they should have said 'Except for those in Southwestern Nova Scotia.' While a slogan such as this would have been horrendously insensitive, it at least would have not been a big black lie.  So, if families bought into Mr. Dexter's hype in the Southwestern part of the province, they were short-changed big time. Would a law-suit bring any financial remuneration to those whose businesses and lives have been decimated? Probably not, but nothing thus far has worked - meetings with government officials, rallies, protests, you name it. Nothing. And there's probably some eager lawyer in the Yarmouth area to take on the government for what it has done to his friends and family in the Yarmouth area. A class-action law-suit would instantly focus attention on the problem, and the media across Canada would be all over this story. The people of this part of Nova Scotia have really had the wood put to them, and it was a completely avoidable situation, one that should never have been implemented, and one that has cost Nova Scotians far more than the province has 'saved' by cutting the ferry out. This decision has taken the word 'stupid' to a whole new plateau. It's so stupid, it's hard to imagine anyone would make such a decision, let alone those elected to power who are entrusted to look out for the province's best interests.

Yarmouth Mayor Phil Mooney - who's been very vocal about this cancellation -  told us: "We now have an agreement from all 55 municipalities in Nova Scotia that each will approach the premier and tell him this service needs to be restored. Also, Mike Savage, a friend of mine for over 20 years, and a man now throwing his hat into the Halifax mayoralty ring, is going to make restoration of the ferry a part of his campaign. This government decision has led to businesses closing here and others scaling back. And it has affected every other community in Nova Scotia which is why they are all getting behind us."

We wish the Mayor and the people of Nova Scotia all the best with this new endeavor. However, the premier's office has been beseiged in the past years to no avail. But, we hope this new approach will work. Update: Mar. 19: There is now a new web-site dedicated to those adversely affected by this cancellation. Go here....

#7: It's a sight now all too familiar: a luxurious half billion dollar grounded ocean-going palace, almost as long as  the Sears Tower in Chicago is tall, stuck at a 45 degree angle,  motionless on its side, all majestic 1000 feet of it, now helpless, hopeless, a few short yards from safe, dry land. "It was like being on the Titanic," one terrified passenger said. "I consider this to be a mortal sin," Michael Murphy, of the American Maritime Officers' Union,  added. But, you have to wonder how it could ever happen with all the electronic gizmos present on the bridge of a modern day ocean liner - items the captain on the Titanic, on its maiden voyage back in 1912, had no idea would ever exist: sonar, depth finders, radar, and Lord only knows what else. But trust us, it was all there on the Costa Concordia, the most modern cruise liner ever to be built in Italy.  And yet, still, a seasoned captain on a state-of-the-art cruise ship runs aground  barely a few short yards off the Italian coast, on a route he's been on dozens and dozens of times.  The problem, of course, is that the electronics didn't fail anyone, this was a deliberate decision to basically 'show off.'  Now, there's a story out that the captain veered off course so his head waiter could wave to family on shore. That precipitous - and amazingly stupid -  decision has resulted in 17 now confirmed dead, the number at 15 more feared missing.  At this stage it is a recovery operation - 21 days after the sinking not anyone else could be found alive. But, this is what is totally perplexing: the captain is never up on the bridge by himself. There is a first officer, a navigator, an engineer, and chart planners. And the ship was on a predetermined computerized course. All of these people would have had to know what was going on, and to have in some way, approved of the captain's desire to take the ship off course. And this makes no sense. Further, a week after the accident, another story surfacing that he 'ordered in' dinner for two an hour after the wreck took place.  Now two weeks after the accident, there is the danger that Concordia could slide into deep water, making any further rescue attempts impossible, and an absolute challenge to get all the fuel oil off it. So was the captain intoxicated as was the case on the Exxon Valdez? Rumor has it that he was drinking shortly before the calamity. Time will tell, but every captain knows to 'go down with his ship,' not to flee or order 'in' dinner while passengers are fighting for their lives. But that's exactly what Captain Francesco Schettino did - he scurried off, like a frightened rat, only to be immediately arrested by Italian police, who, amongst other charges, are looking at filing several counts of manslaughter, as well as a charge of leaving a stricken ship before all its passengers are safely off, an act alone that could land him 12 years in prison. Reports say that the captain was told by police to 'Go back to your ship,' but he refused to do so - and t
hat's when they took him into custody.  The New York Post on Jan. 18, called Schettino 'Chicken of the Sea,' a play on words of the name of the famous tuna brand - it would be funny if what he'd done weren't so heinous. Carnival Cruise Lines - the world's largest cruise line - is the parent company of the one that owns the ill-fated Costa Concordia. 12 Canadians were on board, but none was killed.  One of the biggest fears now surfacing, is what will happen to the half million gallons of fuel on board - this part of Italy is pristine, and famous for watching sea life like dolphins and whales. Carnival has offered passengers a 30% discount off their next cruise as well as $14,400 per passenger compensationBut, you can bet the farm the lawsuits will be building up - they have already started, and the lawyers are after tens of millions. The French have announced that they'll be conducting their own investigation as four French nationals have died, and two French citizens remain missing, and unfortunately, presumed dead at this point. P.S. Here is an excellent tour of the bridge on Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas, to give you an idea what the bridge on a modern ocean-liner looks like. Concordia's fate was completely avoidable

Only one thing worse than coming home maimed for life, and that would to be forgotten....Our troops are in Afghanistan so we can remain free. They are fighting an unconventional war, against madmen who value nothing. Over 1,500 have been seriously wounded thus far in that far off and hostile land, and dozens and dozens more killed - one is simply too many. Canadian Forces have fought and died in all major wars, alongside our American and British compatriots, so we can have the lives and freedoms we cherish so. Everyone has a friend, a brother, a sister, a cousin, an uncle, a grand-father - someone who has given the ultimate sacrifice so we can remain free. Please don't ever forget that...Never.... We live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, and it's safe because of our military. So, please, support the Canadian Wounded Warriors. Also, check out the Canadian Hero Fund, a grass-roots organization that helps families of Canadian Military.  And here's a link to how some real patriots in Maine remember America's fallen as they have done for the last two decades.  For our U.S. friends, here's the link to the Wounded Warrior Project. These brave men and women need our help - they were there for us, let's be there for them.

P.S. We've had complaints that certain words get selected by some site for promotions - words like 'free,' 'give,' etc. We would never, ever sanction this, and if you notice this aberration on your computer, please understand what happened, and do not patronize those companies.

Imagine a radio station that is the same 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Smooth, easy, playing only the world's smoothest music. A station you've missed all along, because one like it hasn't been here before.  Also imagine a radio station that will care deeply about issues that affect us all. Imagine a radio station that will attempt to deal with these issues. Imagine a radio station that will not only serve us here, but one that will tie us to other, similar communities. Now, you're thinking about Coast-FM. We will be a world-wide station, playing world-wide artists - artists from Canada, England, France, Brazil, the U.S., Australia, and all points inbetween.

It's taking a while to build the best radio station you'll ever hear. But we're working hard, and we know the end result will be well worth the endless hours spent to make it happen.  So what are we doing? Three years ago, when all of this started, we were going to play 'Lite hits, smooth instrumentals, and easy standards.' Then, we kind of morphed into an easy hits station. But, now, we're back to the beginning. And while we can't tell you yet what's going on, you won't be disappointed in the final result. By the way, this decision was made on the demographic we're after and the markets we will be targeting.  Artists like Johnny Mathis, or Sinatra, or Michael Buble or Diana Krall are timeless. Whole new generations are getting 'hooked' on the standards because of the latter two performers.  We intend to 'hand pick' our music, in the way a top chef would ingredients for a meal at a top-notch restaurant.

We think the 'hand-picking' we're doing will result in a radio station you've never heard the likes of before. And we think if we get you for fifteen minutes, you'll never want to leave! Coast-FM will feature music that will soothe the soul. Never loud, never harsh, always smooth.  We want to play music that is positive, that the artists really enjoy doing. London-based Shakatak is one of the groups we'll feature - all you have to do is to watch one of their songs to see how much they are 'into' what they're doing and how 'smoothly' they play ['Brazilian Love Affair' is a little too 'up' for our play list, but these excellent musians are really having a great time performing the life that is Rio! Don't you wish your job were as much fun?].  Also, check out Chaya Pitcher - she's a wonderfully positive individual, trying to do something good for mankind, not only through her music, but her deeds. Here are some of her cuts you'll hear on 'The Coast....'

Stay tuned, because more is coming.

Update, June 26: Bob Cassidy, New York: "Have visited your beautiful area many times. Is there a station out there that you're aware of comparable to what Coast-FM will sound like?" Answer: "No." Tim Roberts, Toronto: "CKFM and CHFI used to be my favorites. Any comparison?" Answer: "Yes, and no, but we think you'll like Coast-FM better. By the way, the CHFI today is a vastly different station than what it was 30 years ago. We will lean more towards its sound in the 70s."

Update, June 27: "Many of the Metro stations sound alike. What station there would you liken Coast-FM's sound to?" - Stan Hart, Dartmouth. Answer: "No station in Metro sounds anything like Coast-FM will. Not even close. Nothing against any station there - just that when you hear us, you'll understand where we're at." Mr. Hart responds: "Not even
Seaside-FM?" Us: "We will especially not sound like Seaside-FM."

Update: July 3: Bill Evans, Campbell River, B.C. writes: "I'm thrilled to hear you're going to be running an easy listening station. I know that means many things to many people, but heard your early presentations, and they were great. Will the music be similar?" Us: "Yes."

Update, July 17: "I just noticed you'll be playing music such as that of Nick Ingman. Jolly good! Mr. Ingman is an amazingly talented man, and has brought some really creative energy to the jazz/pop field. Here is the link to Mr. Ingman's client base - it is impressive. Look forward to your on-going updates." Clyde McFallow, London. "PS - I accidentally came across your site - beautiful area, and I think your station will be a welcome relief amongst all the sewage of commercial radio today. Good luck!"  Us: "Thanks, Clyde. We hope to be an 'oasis' for you - and many, many more!"

Update, July 21: "Have been following with interest the development of this concept. I eagerly await its reality. All the best - the music is awesome...." Dan Pomerantz, Honolulu.

Update, July 26: "I check in every night to see what you have added to your play list. Wonderful stuff, and you're right, no one else is playing this. Can't wait 'till you're up and running." Mitch Wright, Halifax.

Update, Sept. 3: Keith Turner, Hamilton: "I know that Little Richard won't be on your playlist, but thought your viewers might appreciate this really rare footage of him in his early youth. By the way, we just lost our easy listening station, CIWV, so really look forward to 'Coast-FM' roaring in here." Us: "Thanks for the kind words. That's Van Johnson in the clip. And you've right, we won't play Little Richard - at least on Coast-FM - but we will on another project we're working on."

Update, Sept. 16: "I have listened to every cut you have on your home page. While I don't like all, I like 90% of them, and certainly enough to have me be listening at work and home. Your coast-line is beautiful, much like that around here. Can't wait - hurry up!" Chris Lindquist, Santa Cruz, California. Us: "We can't wait either - and we have a surprize in store for you!" Also: "I live on Nova Scotia's South Shore part of the year, and cannot believe you are going to put a radio station this good here - Wow! There is nothing like it in New York - nothing...."  - Candy Mosler.  Us: "Thanks, Candy. And, we will be promoting the area to the world. "

Update, Oct. 6: "What a breath of fresh air your station will be. Any idea when your launch will be?" - Gene Sadler, Saint John.  Us: "Sometime in 2012. I understand that is off our prediction, but we want to do it right, not rushed. Thanks for your interest, though, and we hope the wait will be worth it."

Update, Nov. 12: From Bill Gammon, Toronto: "Interesting you have at your header about not driving drunk. A friend lost his three children Christmas Day three years ago in a head-on collision with a drunk driver going 80 mph. Somehow he survived, his third drunk driving infraction, and he was sentenced to six years, now out, now driving. This is crazy, but thanks for the post. If it saves one person, it's worth it." Us: We agree and thanks for noticing. Your story is truly sad, tragic and totally avoidable, if only people would think first.

Update, Dec. 31: Marty Morrison of Montreal writes: "Thanks for recognizing our military. My dad lost both his legs in World War Two, and yet he coped and lived a normal life after coming home. These folks who serve and protect us are a special breed, and deserve our respect, love and trust. Thanks again, and all the best with your station and the New Year." Us: Noted, Marty and thank-you.

Above are two of the thousands of fantastic scenes you'll encounter as you wend your way down Nova Scotia's Great South Coast. Picture a big triangle, and the capital of Nova Scotia, Halifax,  is only 74 miles farther to Bermuda [834 miles vs. 760] , than New York City is to Hamilton. Nova Scotia is ten times the size of New Jersey, with about 10% of the Garden State's population. This is an excellent site to go to -it's
Southshorenow's 'What's Happening' page, and there is abundant information to see on moving here and perhaps building your ocean-front home and setting up your dream business! Costs nothing to look. Nova Scotia... as they say, "So much to sea...." Coastal Winds Realty of Lunenburg has a terrific 'facts' page. Click here to see it. And if you live in Metro, contact Carolyn Davis Stewart for a water-front condo or home.

Take a Nova Scotia tour, and roam through Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, Chester, Bridgewater [Wow, what a beautiful slide show along the LaHave River that bisects this slightly inland town] , and surfing along Nova Scotia's Great South Coast. Many, many other videos of our special part of the world thanks to the folks at 'YouTube.'  Check this one out on Mahone Bay's Oak Island - it is truly one of the world's great mysteries!

Coast FM is in the process of applying for a commercial FM license to broadcast an easy pop format 24 hours daily.  This will comprise a format of 'lite' hits and contemporary songs that fit into this genre.  We will operate from beautiful Mahone Bay and link up to a North American satellite, which means we will be heard from Halifax to Honolulu,  Voglers Cove to Vancouver - and all points in between. Because we will be promoting the South Shore 24/7, this means - for the first time - that millions of people who've never before heard of us, will discover this unique and special part of the world. This kind of publicity has here-to-fore never existed.

Coast FM will be as unique as the South Shore itself and dedicated to listeners currently  limited to radio formats very different from ours.  And also dedicated to all our seasonal visitors, past and future, who can now make the South Shore their listening paradise year 'round.  Dedicated to those unique friends who have chosen to call the South Shore of Nova Scotia home over any other place in the world.   And dedicated to a business clientele who long for a unique new advertising outlet which will cater to their demographic.

Your radio station combined with our website will offer an ongoing venue for the tasteful promotion of the attractions, events, people and businesses of this very special part of the world.

Go to the 'About Us' section for info on our part of the world, and how to get here.  That's Mahone Bay directly to the right....and there are the famous three churches, certainly one of the most photographed scenes in all of Canada!

Coast-FM was featured in the lead story on the front page of the Bridgewater Bulletin and The Progress-Enterprise published Nov. 24, 2008.
